Any plans to travel to Tokyo for a performance?

    hey Dan,

no plans for a Tokyo show as of yet. we don’t know the promoters who would be in to putting on a gig like this over there. If you do, have them get in touch with us and we’ll see if we can make something happen.

It’s a bit rare that we were able to align schedules as Chris and Myles are in Sydney and they are starting a new project soon.

So as far as we know The Slew Live tour thing will be a one time only tour.

    Hola Kid K,
I’m glad to hear your coming through San Francisco again. I’ve seen you many times in the the city and always had an awesome time. I live in Santa Cruz and try to make it whenever I can. I’m curious to hear more about what the show will be like. You on six turntables I’m sure will be an experience to appreciate. What does the Ex-Wolfmother Rhythm Section consist of? And what will the combination of you and them sound like? Any descriptive terms you can give me would helpful. Keep spinning the wheels.

    Hey Finnius,

It’ll be myself and DJ P-love on 6 turntables and Chris Ross and Myles Heskett on bass and drums. If you can find any live footage of them you’ll kind of get an idea of how they play. We’ve cut about 80 custom records for the show, each with vocal, guitar, harmonica, noise etc. parts that we’ll assemble live on the turntables. It’s going to be loud. It’s a rock show. We’ve got all the turntables going through amps as well.

There are some Slew tracks floating around that you can check out to get an idea of what it will sound like.

    descriptors? um … Cut-up, overdriven, amplified, Grungelism! : )

hope to see you in SF. everyone here is pretty excited about doing these gigs. it should be er… different to say the least.

Excellent. Thank you for the break down and descriptors. A rockin’ turntable extravaganza with live musicians sound killa. The videos on youtube were fantabulous. I will be there at the show.

    Peace, Finnius.
