Original Painting: Creatures DIG TIME! Game Card Artwork – Sketchbook
Original DIG TIME! Game Card artwork from the Juno-Nominated Creatures of the Late Afternoon 2LP x Board Game!
The DIG TIME! portion of the board game has climbed the charts to become many peoples’ favorite moment when playing the game! Perhaps it’s the sound of the interactive vinyl underscore timer music during this segment of the game, perhaps it’s the joy of victory when they match a pair of the DIG TIME! cards, perhaps it’s the fact that all of these DIG TIME! cards represent something that is either on my backstage rider, or something I always bring with me on tour.
This is a painted image of a sketchbook.
I think it’s a great idea to bring a sketchbook with you on tour. Just incase the inspiration hits you for a new story or character or song lyric while on tour. I’ve used these spiral bound ones since the Nufonia days. They can lay flat which is great if you’re working on a two page image spread. Also you can rip a page out and not destroy the binding on the sketchbook in case you need to draw a map of directions to show someone on the crew how to get to the karaoke bar after the gig.
