Original Painting: Creatures DIG TIME! Game Card Artwork – Stamp
While on tour it’s good to put a couple of postage stamps on the backstage rider. That way, you can pick up some postcards wherever you are touring and send a note home to your family members to tell them you miss them. Also it’s good to pick a postcard with a pleasant image but not so pleasant that it makes them feel bad if it’s still the middle of winter where they are. An image of the outdoors is nice as it gives the impression you’re seeing things rather than hanging out in a windowless backstage area writing postcards in between soundcheck time and the show start time. Novelty/silly/localized postcards work best for the reader’s smile factor. eg. a dog wearing sunglasses sitting in front of a croissant next to the Eiffel Tower.
Original DIG TIME! Game Card artwork from the Juno-Nominated Creatures of the Late Afternoon 2LP x Board Game!
The DIG TIME! portion of the board game has climbed the charts to become many peoples’ favorite moment when playing the game! Perhaps it’s the sound of the interactive vinyl underscore timer music during this segment of the game, perhaps it’s the joy of victory when they match a pair of the DIG TIME! cards, perhaps it’s the fact that all of these DIG TIME! cards represent something that is either on my backstage rider, or something I always bring with me on tour.
This is a painted image of a postage stamp.
